Italian Police: Highway Explosion Leaves At Least 56 Injured


One person has died and up to 70 been injured after two trucks collided on a motorway in Italy, causing a massive explosion.
The crash, near the airport in Bologna, caused part of a bridge to collapse, with several vehicles in a car park below it catching fire and exploding.
A lorry carrying cars reportedly collided with a tanker containing flammable materials.
More than a dozen people were seriously injured, local media said.
Police closed the road where the crash happened as well as the surrounding area in Borgo Panigale, on the outskirts of the city.
