Italy’s Five Star Says Final Government Plan Agreed

Di Maio and Salvini have to agree on a premiership-candidate to suggest to President Sergio Mattarella, whose task it is to appoint a premier.

The expectation is that the two populist leaders will refer back to Mattarella as early as Monday. They will have the results of the votes on the program by then.
The main excerpt from the foreign-policy part of the program:

"The membership of the Atlantic Alliance with the United States as privileged ally is confirmed, with an opening to Russia, to be perceived not as a threat but as an economic, potentially more and more relevant commercial partner. With regard to that, it is appropriate to withdraw sanctions imposed on Russia and to rehabilitate it as a strategic interlocutor for the resolution of regional crises (Syria, Libya, Yemen)"
