Serbia, Montenegro can join EU in 2025, - European Commission The key conditions for joining will be the implementation of real reforms and the resolution of all disputes with neighbors

The European Commission (EC) has developed a draft EU strategy for the Western Balkans, which provides for the membership of Serbia and Montenegro in the European Union in 2025. This was reported by Radio Liberty agency that saw the document.
"Partners from the Western Balkans have a historic window of opportunities, and for the first time the prospect of their accession has a good perspective," the draft says.
At the same time, the authors of the draft strategy, which is expected to be published on February 6, add that the time terms for the accession will turn out to be realistic only if there is strong political will, realistic reforms and long-term resolution of disputes with neighbors. The key to making this decision will be next year - 2019.

Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Macedonia by 2025 should achieve a certain development for the possibility of joining the EU.
As it was reported earlier Ukraine's membership in the European Union and accession to NATO remain the strategic goal of the state, but this is not the prospect for 2018. This was stated by the President Petro Poroshenko. He added that an association agreement with the EU is "a road map for further fundamental changes that will bring Ukraine closer to the Copenhagen criteria for membership in a prestigious union of peace."
In 2014, after the Revolution of Dignity, Ukraine signed the Association Agreement with the EU. During 2014-2017 the Agreement was ratified by the Verkhovna Rada, the European Parliament, as well as national parliaments of all EU countries.
