Storming of post office in Kharkiv, attacker detained

The law enforcers of KORD police subdivision stormed the Ukrposhta post office, where a man with explosives captured hostages. This was announced by President Petro Poroshenko on Facebook.
"All the hostages in Kharkiv were released, the attacker was detained. I thanked the officers of the National Police and the Security Service for good work and instructed local authorities to provide the victims with all the necessary assistance," Poroshenko said.
"The officers of the criminal investigation team of the National Police have just localized the criminal who took the people hostage," Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said on Twitter.

All the people who were held inside during the day were released. The arrest took place without victims, the head of the National Police Serhiy Knyazev said.
"He was detained without losses, there are no victims," Knyazev said.
As reported earlier, in Kharkiv unknown man seized the office of "Ukrposhta" branch. The attacker said that he had an explosive, which he was ready to use.

First, the men had 11 people hostage: 9 adults and 2 children. Recently, five hostages were released from the seized post office - three women and two children. At the moment, six hostages remain in the building.
